"Dear Joel,

Over the past couple of years you have completed a lot of work for us. First it was finishing both the inside and outside of our house in Woodbridge, CT. The work both you and Jeff did was outstanding.  I think it was one of the reasons the house sold so quickly.  You finished off our basement, repainted all the outside trim, and painted some of our rooms and windows. The house literally looked new again. Thank you very much.

In October, 2012, you started off on your southern journey. The purpose of the trip was to do a complete renovation of both the inside and outside of our house in Old Town Key West. Since it is in Old Town you had to comply with the Historical Architectural Review Committee (HARC). There were 80 pages of things you can and can't do. The intense planning you did to get their many approvals was nothing short of amazing.

You were the General Contractor for the entire job. You selected and vetted the electrician, the plumber, and the landscaper.  Hell, you even negotiated with the business next door to allow us to put the hedge on their property. We visited you down there this past Christmas and were absolutely blown away by the quality and quantity of the work both you and Jeff did.

You started working on the inside and outside of the house in October 2012 and completed it by the end of March 2013. Here is a list of just a few of the things you completed: you removed a bathroom to expand a bedroom, you remodeled two remaining bathrooms and bedrooms, you removed cabinetry and remodeled the kitchen, you tore up the wooden deck and replaced it with pavers, you took all the rotten siding off and replaced it with new wood that had to conform with the HARC guidelines. We were thinking of replacing the roof and you did some research and suggested you instead paint it with a metallic paint You organized the folks from Sub Zero to install central air, you replaced two of our windows and fixed up the rest. I could go on and on, but I think you are getting a sense of my heart felt gratification.

Another thing I do want to mention is that all the time you were down in Key West doing a major renovation we were here in Connecticut. We never had a concern about the decisions you were making every day, and the reason for that is because we had ultimate trust in your abilities and judgment, and you kept us well informed via email and pictures. You turned a sow's ear into a silk purse - that is a work of art.
